venetian - rococo

Venice has undoubtedly produced the most unusual and sophisticated Rococo designs. While in a difficult period, in the early 18th century and up to 1760, it became Italy's capital of fashion and worthy of Paris in terms of wealth, architecture, luxury, taste, trade, decoration, style and design. The Venetian Rococo was rich and luxurious, with usually very outrageous designs. Venice became particularly well-known for its beautiful zirandol mirrors, which remained among the best, if not the best in Europe of the time.
